Synergy Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a Groundworks Supervisor for a major infrastructure project on the Isle of Wight (Hampshire). Project value £2m, 2-week contract to start with potential for a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations relating to groundworks, stormwater and foul water drainage.
- Manage labour of 6 to 8, subcontractors and materials on site.
- Ensure works are completed to specification, on time and within budget.
- Maintain the highest health & safety standards and site discipline.
- Liaise with the project manager, engineers and client representatives.
- Carry out site paperwork, permits, toolbox talks and reporting as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor on civil engineering or utilities projects.
- Strong knowledge of drainage and associated infrastructure works.
- Minimum certifications required: SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme), First Aid, CSCS card.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read drawings and manage teams effectively.
