We are currently recruiting an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to work within a well-established private hospital in Bristol. The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care and work as an integral member of the theatre team during major orthopaedic procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the operating theatre
- Checking surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques
- Assisting surgeons throughout procedures
- Anticipating surgical requirements
- Ensuring patient safety at all times
We are looking for a professional, reliable and confident practitioner with strong major orthopaedic theatre experience, excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary theatre team.
Requirements:
- Current NMC or HCPC registration
- Previous UK theatre/scrub experience
- Proven experience in major orthopaedic surgery
- Good knowledge of surgical instruments and orthopaedic equipment
- Excellent understanding of infection prevention and aseptic techniques
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team
- Right to work in the UK
