Job Description
We are currently recruiting experienced General Major Scrub to work within established healthcare environments across South East England.
The successful candidate will provide specialist scrub support during major surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons and the wider theatre team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing scrub support during major surgical procedures
- Preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintaining sterile technique and aseptic practice
- Anticipating the surgeon's requirements during procedures
- Supporting patient safety and positioning
- Preparing and checking theatre equipment
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Working effectively within the multidisciplinary theatre team
- Following infection prevention, health & safety, and clinical governance procedures

Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant professional registration, such as NMC or HCPC
- Previous UK Theatre experience
- Recent experience as a Major Scrub Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of major surgical procedures
- Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety and high standards of care
- Right to work in the UK
