My client is an established and growing children's residential care provider is seeking an exceptional Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children's homes in Manchester and Leyland, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role

As Dual Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and performance of two specialist children's homes. You will ensure both homes provide outstanding care, safeguarding and support for young people while maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation.

You will lead and inspire your teams, creating a culture where children feel safe, valued and empowered to achieve their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing strategic and operational leadership across both homes
  • Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Leading, motivating and developing residential care teams
  • Driving a positive, child-focused culture centred on excellent outcomes
  • Monitoring safeguarding practices and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Overseeing care planning and ensuring individual needs are effectively met
  • Managing budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively
  • Supporting staff development through supervision, coaching and performance management
  • Building strong relationships with social workers, local authorities, schools and external professionals
  • Preparing for and leading Ofsted inspections
  • Ensuring both homes remain safe, welcoming and therapeutic environments

We're looking for an experienced leader who is:

  • Resilient, organised and able to lead in a dynamic environment
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with stakeholders and external agencies
  • Driven to create a culture where children can flourish and succeed
  • Experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation
  • Proven ability to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Experience managing and developing residential care teams
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience managing multiple services or homes
  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
  • Understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care approaches
  • Track record of securing Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
