Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Transport Administrator to join their busy operation in Dagenham. The role is to support with the day to day administration of a busy transport and fleet operation, helping to ensure vehicles, drivers, maintenance records and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date.

Duties will include:

  • Maintain accurate fleet records, including vehicle files, service history, MOT dates, inspections, defects and repair documentation.
  • Support the planning and booking of vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections and MOTs to help minimise downtime and maintain fleet availability.
  • Monitor driver compliance records, including driving licence checks, driver declarations, tachograph information, working time records and training documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of daily vehicle defect reports, ensuring issues are recorded, followed up and escalated where required.
  • Liaise with drivers, transport supervisors, workshops, suppliers and external maintenance providers to support smooth fleet operations.
