About the Role
Synergize delivers responsive maintenance, planned works, and project delivery services across a range of public sector estates, including MHS Homes.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team, supporting the delivery of whole house planned works programmes.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in line with contractual requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years’ experience within planned maintenance, refurbishment, or social housing environments who is looking to develop their career within a growing organisation delivering meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial performance of planned works projects from inception through to completion.
- Provide accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting across assigned projects.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review tender returns, pricing submissions, and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company commercial processes.
- Support procurement activities, including subcontractor negotiations and supply chain management.
- Attend project meetings and provide commercial updates to key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of commercial documentation.
About You
We are looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor who has experience working within planned works, refurbishment, or housing maintenance environments.
You will have
- 3–5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience delivering whole house planned works programmes.
- Experience within social housing, public sector, NHS, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
