As our business continues to grow, we're looking for talented people who want to make a genuine impact, help shape the future of the business, and develop their careers within an ambitious and expanding group.

About the Role

As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a vital role in securing new business by producing accurate, competitive and commercially robust cost estimates across a diverse portfolio of Building Safety and Decarbonisation projects.

Working closely with the Pre-Construction, Commercial and Operational teams, you'll review tender documentation, undertake detailed cost analysis, obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, and develop pricing strategies that support successful bid submissions.

You'll be responsible for identifying project risks and opportunities while ensuring all estimates align with client requirements, regulatory standards and company objectives.

Projects will typically include external wall remediation, fire safety improvements, cladding replacement, insulation upgrades, retrofit programmes, PAS 2030/2035 energy efficiency works, low-carbon heating solutions and wider building safety compliance schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator who enjoys working on technically complex projects and wants to be part of a growing business helping improve the safety, sustainability and performance of buildings across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for Building Safety and Decarbonisation projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, Employer's Requirements and tender documentation to identify project scope and commercial opportunities.
  • Obtain, analyse and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Produce detailed cost plans, bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Identify commercial, technical, programme and compliance risks within tender opportunities.
  • Liaise with operational, commercial, design and retrofit teams to develop commercially competitive tender solutions.
  • Attend site surveys, pre-tender meetings and client clarification meetings where required.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, Building Safety legislation, retrofit funding and construction methodologies.
  • Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining compliance with Building Regulations, fire safety requirements and energy performance objectives.
  • Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.

About You

You'll be a commercially minded Senior Estimator with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Comfortable managing multiple tenders simultaneously, you'll thrive under pressure and enjoy working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

You'll understand the complexities of pricing technically challenging Building Safety and Decarbonisation schemes, balancing commercial competitiveness with quality, compliance and risk management.

Above all, you'll be motivated by delivering projects that improve the safety, sustainability and longevity of homes and buildings across the UK.

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience as a Senior Estimator within Building Safety, Decarbonisation, refurbishment, retrofit, planned maintenance or property services.
  • Experience pricing projects involving cladding remediation, fire safety works, retrofit or energy efficiency improvements.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, estimating principles and commercial risk.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Safety requirements and decarbonisation programmes.
  • Experience pricing projects for public sector frameworks, housing associations and local authorities.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • A proactive approach with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
