We are seeking an experienced and proactive security cleared Service Design & Transition Manager to join our team in Telford. This hybrid role requires onsite attendance two days per week.

In this position, you will play a key role across all aspects of Service Design & Transition (SD&T) within project delivery. You will work closely with project and operational teams to ensure the successful design, assurance, transition, and implementation of high-quality service components. You will support projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle from early project development through to live service operation ensuring operational readiness, mitigating service risks, and driving best practice across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident leading and facilitating meetings while capturing detailed actions and notes
  • Ability to actively listen, analyse information, and draw conclusions
  • Comfortable providing regular project status updates and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience using structured toolsets and processes to support delivery activities
  • Ability to understand and apply service management principles and identify operational risks
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills with a practical approach
  • Confident in challenging, questioning, and negotiating where appropriate
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop support models and service diagrams for solutions delivered by project teams
  • Ensure Application and Technical Support teams are fully prepared to support live services
  • Assess business and service readiness implications and manage associated risks
  • Coordinate SD&T activities and deliverables across assigned projects
  • Ensure support models are fully tested, approved, and signed off prior to go-live
  • Act as an escalation point for SD&T operational risks and issues
  • Secure operational sign-off at governance boards and technical review meetings
  • Facilitate review and approval of support process testing across teams
  • Support and contribute to the wider SD&T community by sharing operational best practices, standards, and knowledge
