We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Lead to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled technologist with a passion for modern engineering practices, cloud-native development, Agile delivery, and emerging AI-driven workflows. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.
Technical Skills
- Java
- Angular 6
- Microservices and API development
- REST API integration (OpenAPI preferred)
- Event-driven architecture
- Hands-on cloud experience across AWS and Azure, including serverless deployments
- Experience with AWS services and deployment approaches including: EC2, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (JVM), Docker, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB and S3
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Bamboo
- Knowledge of containerised deployments and orchestration technologies including Docker, Fargate and Kubernetes
- Strong SQL database development experience, including: SSIS and Cloud database deployment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions
- Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams alongside Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical strategy, and engineering best practices
- Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, and cloud-native applications
- Support CI/CD implementation, release management, and deployment automation
- Produce technical specifications, user stories, and support documentation
- Champion quality through unit testing, behaviour-driven development, and test-driven development practices
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation, including the adoption of AI and Agentic Workflow approaches
