Lead Project Planner (SC Cleared) – Defence Programme

Location: Hybrid – Corsham (2–3 days onsite)

Rate: up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: Initial 6 months (strong extension potential)

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a highly respected specialist consultancy delivering into a major MOD programme, known for its strong reputation in programme delivery and stakeholder engagement.

They are looking for a hands-on, proactive Lead Project Planner to join a key programme based in Corsham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being embedded within delivery, working closely with stakeholders, and actively shaping programme outcomes, not just maintaining plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading planning sessions with stakeholders to define and align programme activities
• Developing and maintaining a single version of truth across planning artefacts
• Building and managing resource-loaded schedules (including risks, dependencies, assumptions)
• Creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Performing critical path analysis and tracking performance against baseline
• Analysing schedule health, risks, and dependencies to support delivery decisions
• Supporting governance through clear, structured reporting and performance insights
• Driving improvements in planning processes and ensuring alignment across teams

What We’re Looking For

• At least Five years’ experience as a Project/Programme Planner
• Experience within a consultancy or client-facing delivery environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confident engaging across multiple teams
• Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS)
• Dependency management and critical path analysis
• Risk and performance reporting
• Exposure to defence, government, or secure programmes is highly desirable

Essential Requirements

• Able to work onsite in Corsham 3 days per week
