We are seeking an experienced security cleared DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team, playing a critical role in ensuring platform stability, resilience, and continuous improvement across complex delivery environments.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing service reliability by supporting the resolution of incidents and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence. You will contribute to ongoing service improvements through system updates, build enhancements, and optimisation of engineering processes. You will ensure best practices, standards, and procedures are consistently applied across environments, proactively identifying performance or capacity issues and driving remedial actions where required. Alongside this, you will play a key role in improving operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for process optimisation and leading the implementation of improvements across the DevOps lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support incident resolution and drive root cause analysis to prevent future failures
  • Implement continuous improvements across build, release, and operational processes
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, governance, and best practices
  • Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks
  • Recommend and implement solutions to enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure platforms
  • Contribute to the evolution of DevOps strategy, tooling, and ways of working

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive DevOps experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Strong technical breadth across development, operations, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
  • Understanding of security and compliance, including DevSecOps practices and audit readiness
