Southampton HQ (Hybrid remote)

Up to £51.90 p/h Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Analogue / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join an established IC design team developing world-class infrared imaging products for demanding remote sensing and thermal imaging applications.

The Role

As an Analogue / Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you will work across the IC design lifecycle, translating technical requirements into robust, verified design solutions that meet demanding performance specifications and project schedules.

Working at transistor, cell and block level, you will apply your analogue and mixed-signal design expertise to complex IC development projects, working closely with the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design analogue and mixed-signal integrated circuits at transistor, cell and block level.
  • Translate system and design requirements into practical IC design solutions.
  • Perform design verification and ensure solutions meet required specifications.
  • Contribute to complex IC design projects from initial requirements through to delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to resolve technical challenges and optimise designs.
  • Deliver designs accurately and efficiently against project timescales.

You will have a formal qualification in electronics/electrical engineering or a related discipline, combined with several years of hands‑on experience working on complex IC designs.

  • Strong analogue and mixed-signal IC design experience.
  • Experience designing complex integrated circuits at transistor, cell or block level.
  • The ability to interpret requirements and develop effective, verified design solutions.
  • A strong understanding of analogue circuit design principles and IC development.
  • The ability to work accurately within challenging technical and project constraints.
  • Experience designing CMOS Readout ICs (ROICs) or imaging devices would be highly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced infrared imaging technology used across critical sensing and surveillance applications.
