Synergize Consulting are hiring for a Product Owner to work at a leading defence client on a contract basis. The purpose of the role is to support a large programme delivering secure digital identity and access management capabilities across highly regulated environments.
As the Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for defining and managing the IAM product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Define and own the IAM product strategy, roadmap, and backlog
- Translate business and security requirements into epics, features, and user stories
- Partner with industry stakeholders to prioritise delivery
- Lead Agile product delivery across IAM and identity governance initiatives
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams on integrated security solutions
- Ensure IAM solutions align with security, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Manage product performance, delivery metrics, risks, dependencies, and escalations
- Support continuous improvement across Agile ways of working and product maturity
- Coordinate with suppliers and delivery partners across the software development lifecycle
- Demonstrable experience working in a technical Product-focused role and delivering IAM or Identity Governance solutions
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts and protocols that could include SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, Okta, ForgeRock, or Ping Identity
- Experience managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, user stories, and roadmap delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Previous experience working in the defence or aerospace sectors would be advantageous
- Experience working within secure, regulated, or high-assurance environments
- CISSP, CSPO, SAFe, or Agile certifications would be desirable
- Exposure to cloud and container technologies (Azure, Kubernetes) would be desirable
- Experience managing third-party suppliers or offshore teams
Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
