We are seeking an experienced security cleared Data Manager to support defence and aerospace programmes, ensuring engineering and programme data is correctly controlled, protected, traceable, and available throughout the lifecycle.
Reporting to the Lead Configuration and Change Manager, you will implement data management processes in line with organisational policies, Data Management Plans (DMPs), contractual requirements, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver data management activities in accordance with approved DMPs.
· Ensure data is correctly identified, structured, version-controlled, approved, and maintained.
· Maintain data integrity, status, metadata, and lifecycle controls across systems.
· Apply security classification, protective marking, export controls, and access permissions.
· Support audits, compliance reviews, reporting, and corrective actions.
· Work closely with Configuration, Engineering, Quality, and Programme teams.
· Support data management across the full programme lifecycle, from design through to production and in-service support.
· Provide guidance to Data Management Engineers.
· Identify risks, non-compliances, and opportunities for process improvement.
