We're seeking an experienced MBSE Systems Engineer with a proven background in developing service and support solutions for complex systems. This is not a traditional systems engineering role focused solely on product development. The most critical requirement for this position is experience capturing and analysing stakeholder needs to guide the development of service solutions suitable for future operational environments.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience within a support solutions, service design, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), supportability engineering or service systems engineering environment. Applications from candidates whose experience is exclusively product-focused will not be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Capturing and analysing stakeholder requirements to develop future-ready service and support solutions
- Applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop service and product system architectures
- Generating Use Cases and conducting Functional Analysis to support requirements definition, refinement and validation
- Managing requirements and maintaining traceability throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Evaluating options and balancing competing constraints through structured trade studies
- Understanding how engineering decisions impact downstream support, sustainment and operational effectiveness
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines and organisations
- Contributing to engineering best practice through engagement with industry, academia and emerging methodologies
We're looking for professionals who can objectively explore complex problem spaces, understand system-of-systems relationships, and appreciate how technology integrates with people, training, infrastructure and broader capability requirements.
