We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared Senior Platform Engineer to join a secure and highly complex technology programme supporting critical UK defence and national security capabilities. This role will focus on the design, delivery, integration, and support of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platforms within secure environments, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership responsibilities.

- DV Cleared
- Hybrid-based (3-4 days on site in Yeovil)
- Initially until Dec 2026
Essential Skills:
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) - vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Aria Suite
- Windows and Linux administration
- VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms
- Software-defined data centre (SDDC) design, build and support
- Network virtualisation and micro-segmentation
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls)
- Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible or Terraform)
- Cyber security controls and secure platform engineering
- Systems integration across compute, storage and networking layers
- Experience delivering platforms within Defence, Government, National Security or other highly secure environments
Desirable:
- VCP Certification
- AWS and Infrastructure as Code
- Active Directory, PKI, SIEM and enterprise security integrations
