We\'re seeking a Principal Network Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network architectures within a cutting-edge engineering laboratory environment.
In this role, you\'ll be responsible for developing robust network solutions, maintaining laboratory infrastructure, and supporting development and trial activities across a range of innovative projects.
- What You\'ll Be Doing
- Design and develop network architectures to support engineering laboratory environments.
- Configure networked systems in line with technical requirements provided by the Lead Systems Engineer.
- Maintain and enhance laboratory network infrastructure and development environments.
- Support network deployment, testing, and troubleshooting during site trials and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing network solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network performance, resilience, and maintainability.
- What We\'re Looking For
You\'ll have a strong understanding of network engineering principles and experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
- Strong understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model.
- Good knowledge of IPv4 addressing and subnetting.
- Experience configuring and managing Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
- Knowledge of network implementation and deployment practices.
- Experience designing and supporting network architectures.
- Understanding of NETCONF and network automation principles.
- Network security principles and technologies.
