We are seeking an experienced Content Designer to support the development of new public-sector digital services. You will create clear, accessible and user-friendly content that helps people understand complex information and complete online transactions with confidence. Working within an Agile delivery environment, you will collaborate with UX/UI Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers, Business Analysts and other stakeholders to ensure content meets user needs and delivers a positive digital experience. Key Responsibilities Lead content design activities across digital services. Research subject matter and engage with stakeholders and subject-matter experts. Translate complex language, processes and requirements into clear, simple content. Draft content that supports UX designs and helps users complete online transactions. Collaborate with User Researchers to test content and assess user understanding. Use research findings, user feedback and performance metrics to refine and improve content. Select appropriate formats and presentation methods to meet different user needs. Build effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Iterate content throughout the design and delivery process to improve usability and accessibility. Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Content Designer within a digital or online environment. Strong web-writing skills, producing clear, accessible and usable content. Experience applying user-centred design principles to content development. Experience using user research, feedback and metrics to evaluate and improve content. Ability to simplify complex information for a broad audience, including users with lower levels of digital confidence. Experience collaborating with UX/UI Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers and Business Analysts. Experience with content management and publishing systems. Proficiency in Markdown. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills. BPSS clearance.
