Contract Network Engineer – Security Cleared Hybrid remote – London HQ

Day rate up to £550 pd Inside IR35
We are seeking a highly skilled and security cleared Network Engineer with strong server infrastructure expertise. This role is critical in maintaining and securing enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and cloud networks)
- Configure and manage network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Administer and support server environments (Windows/Linux), including virtualisation platforms
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system reliability
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols)
- Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux)
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS and security tools
- Ability to analyse network traffic and system logs for investigative purposes
- Must hold active SC security clearance
- Willingness to undergo additional background checks if required
