Job Description
Our client a multinational, aerospace, defence and security company are now looking for a safety engineer to develop safety and environmental plans.
Responsibilities:
Using Safety Analysis skills across the full system life cycle from requirements identification through design, development, manufacture system integration, acceptance testing, delivery and when required disposal.
You will undertake assessment and analysis using various techniques including Functional Failure Analysis system requirements and Fault Tree Analysis, to identify and validate system requirements, influence design trade-offs and architecture to reduce safety risks.
Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments ensuring that the products are complaint with applicable legislation.
Develop Safety Requirements and identify appropriate verification and validation methods
Construct arguments, based upon evidence gathered to support safety claims.
Present the outcomes of safety analysis to Integrated Project Teams and Customers
Take part in incident or observation analysis as required
Work closely with many different engineering disciplines, customers, partners and suppliers to solve complex problems and deliver safe products
Contribute to continual improvement of the Company Safety Management System.
Experience required:
Considerable experience in working as a Safety Engineer in highly regulated sectors – Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence
Experience with the full system life cycle
Have experience with all aspects of safety assessment, from Hazard Identification through to delivery of project Safety Case Reports.
Be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance
