Platform Engineer (DV) - Contract - Hybrid working/Wiltshire - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Platform Engineer to work at a leading consultancy client on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be working within a programme of digital transformation in the defence sector, supporting the delivery and engineering of secure, high-quality technology platforms and applications.
This role requires a technically strong engineer and the function of the role includes managing secure, complex environments and duties include patching, implementing security features, security administration and installing new device builds where required.
Experience required:
- Strong experience in platform and application engineering
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Windowsenvironments
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- A solid understanding of infrastructure, applications, and enterprise environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively within a technical engineering team
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (DV).
