Technical Business Analyst (Defence Systems) - Contract - Hybrid/Berkshire - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Technical Business Analystto join a leading defence client of ours on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will work in a multi-functional role, consisting ofbusiness analysis, systems engineering, requirements management and digital delivery, helping translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable and traceable requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities include
- Elicit, analyse and organise stakeholder needs and business requirements.
- Capture, document and maintain business and technical requirements.
- Manage requirements baselines, changes and associated impact assessments.
- Maintainend-to-end requirements traceabilityfrom customer needs through implementation and verification.
- Support requirements decomposition and allocation across systems and technical components.
- Work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure requirements are correctly understood and implemented.
- Participate in requirements reviews, validation and verification activities.
- Identify and resolve requirements gaps, conflicts and inconsistencies.
- Produce and review business, technical and engineering documentation.
- Support governance, assurance and audit activities
Experience required
- Proven experience in business analysis and requirements elicitation.
- Practical experience managing requirements throughout an engineering or software development lifecycle.
- Previous experience working within a defence systems environment, having gained exposure to simulation, modelling or similar projects ideally.
- Experience with requirements traceability, change control and impact assessment.
- Experience delivering or supportingdigital tools, software or engineering systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with engineers, developers, Product Owners, Delivery Managers, IT teams and end users.
- A structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Training & Through Life Support (TLS) experience would be desirable
- TOGAF and/or Archi Mate certifications or working knowledge
- Requirements management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, Jama or similar.
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC)
