The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Supervisor to join a busy Regulatory Team supporting a major UK high-street banking operation.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in customer outcomes, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and complaints , while leading and developing a team within a well-established financial services operation.

The successful candidate will bring strong people leadership, analytical ability and experience working within a regulated environment, with a genuine focus on achieving fair, compliant and consistent customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Regulatory Agents.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback and development to support colleague capability and performance.
  • Allocate and manage regulatory team workload.
  • Review customer complaints and ensure fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance and Customer Outcome Testing activities.
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support customer escalations and complex regulatory cases.
  • Produce governance reporting and management information.
  • Prepare for and facilitate regulatory meetings, including RCA reviews, calibration sessions and working groups.
  • Build effective relationships with operational teams and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor risk, compliance and customer outcome measures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Work towards individual, team and operational performance objectives.

Essential Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience leading, coaching or developing colleagues .
  • Experience working within a regulated environment .
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong customer outcome and customer-focused decision-making approach.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify trends and root causes from data and performance information.
  • Experience maintaining quality, governance or control frameworks .
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable accountability for performance, quality or operational outcomes .

Working Hours

The operation covers:

MondayFriday: 8am8pm
SaturdaySunday: 9am6pm

You will work 37.5 hours per week , with shifts planned through a 6-week rotation , giving you advance notice of your working pattern.

There may be some flexibility required around start and finish times, particularly during the training period.
