Here at Synergise Recruitment, we are looking for a Transport Planner for our client in the Newton Abbot area. This is strictly a temp to perm role for the right person. You can apply today and interview tomorrow!
What the client is looking for:
- A dependable, detail-focused Transport Planner to join the operations team.
- This role is essential in keeping transport running smoothly, ensuring accurate administration and clear communication between drivers, planners, the team and customers.
- Our client would be happy with someone completely new to transport as long as you have transferable skills.
Schedule:
- Days/Hours: Monday to Friday working 8am until 4.30pm
- Rate of Pay: Salary dependant on experience (starting at £25.5k - £27.5k)
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing and updating transport paperwork, delivery notes
- Monitoring vehicle movements and supporting transport operations
- Communicating with drivers regarding routes, delays, and instructions
- Updating transport management systems (TMS) accurately and in real time
- Handling customer and internal queries professionally
- Reporting issues such as delays, shortages, or vehicle problems to the Transport Manager
