We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join an established manufacturing environment on a 5-month contract. The role will focus on maintaining production and utility equipment, with particular emphasis on boilers and associated systems, while supporting both mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain and support boiler and associated utility plant equipment.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
- Minimise downtime and support maximum production uptime.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to required standards.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
- A mechanical bias with good electrical maintenance capability.
- Essential: Previous boiler experience.
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or automated production environment is preferred.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to start at short notice.
