Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Wakefield

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers for an exciting contract opportunity supporting a busy manufacturing and production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and repairs.

• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise production downtime.

• Support the smooth and efficient operation of automated production equipment.

• Work safely and independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions across both electrical and mechanical systems.

• Support production teams and other engineering colleagues as required.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer, with both electrical and mechanical capability.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Experience completing PPM and reactive maintenance.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment.

• The ability to work independently in a busy production setting.

• A flexible approach to working shifts or days, depending on the requirement.

• Relevant engineering qualifications and a strong technical background.

• The right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience within food manufacturing, bakery, FMCG, packaging or automated production environments.

• Experience working with automated manufacturing machinery and production systems.

• Previous contract engineering experience.

• A broad range of electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.

• Previous experience working on high-volume production sites.
