An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility in Slough.
This role would suit a Lead Engineer, Senior Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, PLC Engineer or Reliability Engineer looking to join a business that is investing heavily in its people, equipment and automation capabilities.
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will take a leading role in maintaining and improving production equipment, supporting automation systems, driving reliability improvements and delivering engineering projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead maintenance activities across a highly automated manufacturing facility
Fault-find and repair PLC-controlled production equipment
Support and improve automation, controls and electrical systems
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities
Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Improve machine uptime, efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and new installations
Manage PLC backups and control system documentation
Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team
Participate in the engineering call-out rota
Skills & Experience
Experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Automation Engineer or Electrical Engineer
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
PLC fault-finding experience within manufacturing or production environments
Experience working on automated machinery and production lines
Knowledge of continuous improvement and reliability techniques
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead engineering initiatives
