Our client is one of the world's largest leading manufacturers, they have a presence in all the leading supermarkets in the UK and are expanding.

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environment, Health & Safety across a busy production environment. This role will act as the key EHS contact on site, supporting operational teams to drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support EHS activities across all production functions.
  • Implement and maintain EHS strategies, policies, standards, and improvement plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure adherence to UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO standards.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, coaching teams to improve safety awareness.
  • Support emergency preparedness and site safety procedures.
  • Manage EHS reporting, data accuracy, and performance submissions.
  • Work closely with site leadership, production teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to improve EHS performance.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Proven experience leading EHS within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, food & drink, or similar operational environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing audits, investigations, corrective actions, and EHS improvement programmes.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience implementing and auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Strong communication, influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A hands-on, organised, and methodical approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within food, beverage, brewing, packaging, logistics, or FMCG environments.
  • ISO 9001 experience.
  • IEMA or environmental qualifications.
  • Experience managing EHS systems, reporting tools, and performance data.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation.
