Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Malton

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineers to join an engineering team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in supporting production and maintaining the efficient operation of plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and production equipment.

• Diagnose and rectify electrical and/or mechanical faults.

• Support production by ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

• Respond effectively to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.

• Complete maintenance activities to a high standard and in line with site requirements.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• A strong multi-skilled engineering background.

• An electrical or mechanical bias.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and maintenance skills.

• The ability to work effectively across a double-day shift pattern.

• Availability to start ASAP.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience maintaining industrial plant and production machinery.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• A proactive approach to preventative and reactive maintenance.

• Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
