We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, supporting a highly automated production facility through planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, and continuous improvement activity. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food manufacturing business undergoing significant investment, including new site development and facility expansion. The role would suit a proactive, hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a busy production environment and is comfortable supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production and plant equipment.
  • Respond quickly to reactive breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Fault find and repair electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing machinery.
  • Support production teams to maintain efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Work across conveyors, production machinery, and general plant equipment.
  • Assist with project work, site improvements, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and production teams in a fast-moving environment.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering background.
  • Electrical bias preferred, with strong multi-skilled capability.
  • Experience fault finding on manufacturing machinery.
  • Comfortable supporting mechanical maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, process, or high-speed manufacturing environments.
  • Strong health and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a continuous production environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and strong team ethic.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in a highly automated FMCG or food manufacturing site.
