Job Role & Key Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Boiler Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment on an immediate contract basis.

This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and compliance of boiler and steam plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor boilers and associated plant equipment.
  • Carry out water treatment testing, monitoring and compliance checks.
  • Complete planned and reactive maintenance on boiler systems.
  • Fault find and troubleshoot steam and hot water systems.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, operational and compliance records.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • Proven experience working with industrial boilers and steam systems.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes.
  • Experience in boiler servicing and maintenance.
  • A relevant boiler operation qualification/certification would be advantageous.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, food, FMCG, process or industrial environment.
  • Availability to start at short notice.

  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good understanding of steam plant and hot water systems.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and plant operations.
