Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective, and efficient electrical and mechanical maintenance across all production equipment within a busy FMCG bakery. Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will play a key role in maintaining production output, improving equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical fault-finding and preventative maintenance on motors, drives, panels, sensors, and inverter systems
Perform electrical isolation, testing, installation, and commissioning of components
Carry out mechanical maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging machinery, and industrial ovens
Welding, fabrication, and pipefitting as required
Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
Complete PPMs, log all maintenance activity, and support root cause analysis
Work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams
Maintain high housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong mechanical background with hands-on fitting experience
Solid understanding of electrical systems within manufacturing environments
Welding, fabrication, and pipefitting capability
Maintenance experience within FMCG or food production machinery
Ability to read electrical diagrams and work safely under pressure
Desirable Skills:
Bakery, food, or wider FMCG manufacturing experience
Knowledge of industrial ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machinery
Experience with inverters, motors, and control panels
Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (5S, RCA, Kaizen)
