The Role
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Maintaining automated processing and packaging equipment
- Working with PLCs, inverters, control panels and electrical systems
- Servicing conveyors, motors, drives, mixers, extruders and ovens
- Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
- Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CMMS systems
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
The Candidate
To be considered, you should have:
- Multi Skilled Maintenance experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or a similar automated environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability
- Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Experience working on automated manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of PLCs, drives, motors and control systems
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a shift engineering team

- PLC fault finding and diagnostics
- Packaging and process machinery
- Steam systems, boilers, valves and pipework
- Conveying systems and drive technologies
- Ovens, mixers, grinders and extruders
- CMMS maintenance softwareAdditional electrical testing or PLC qualifications
