We are looking for an experienced Asset Care Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Rugby. The role involves maintaining and improving the reliability of machinery, reducing downtime, and ensuring safety and efficiency across production and utilities.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and supporting site performance through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Fault finding and repair on mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Working on both production and utility equipment
  • Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and compliance standards
  • Supporting projects, installations, and shutdowns
  • Recording all maintenance work accurately and updating asset data

About You

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role within manufacturing
  • Skilled in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • IT literate and confident using maintenance systems

Qualifications

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification (HNC desirable)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations beneficial
  • Good understanding of safety and compliance standards
