We are currently recruiting for an experienced Boiler Technician to join a busy manufacturing site in the Birmingham area on an immediate contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong experience in boiler operations, water treatment, and steam plant maintenance to step into a key role supporting site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily operation and monitoring of site boilers and associated plant equipment
- Water treatment testing, monitoring and compliance checks
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on boiler systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting across steam and hot water systems
- Working closely with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures and statutory regulations
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records
Requirements
- Proven experience working with industrial boilers and steam systems
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes
- Experience carrying out boiler servicing and maintenance activities
- Relevant boiler operation qualifications/certification advantageous
- Manufacturing, food, FMCG, process or industrial background preferred
- Available to start at short notice
