Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer providing electro-mechanical support for a 24/7 automated flour mill and packing line. Role involves routine maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and small project execution to ensure equipment operates at peak performance. Participation in an on-call rota post-probation is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
  • Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
  • Spec and order replacement parts; manage site contractors.
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota (after probation).
  • Support small projects and process improvements.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills; competent in process control engineering.
  • City & Guilds qualified or time-served multi-skilled engineer.
  • Competent working with voltages up to 415V.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and good communication skills.
  • Proven multi-skilling experience; able to work independently or in a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of PLCs.
  • Fabrication and welding experience.
