Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer providing electro-mechanical support for a 24/7 automated flour mill and packing line. Role involves routine maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and small project execution to ensure equipment operates at peak performance. Participation in an on-call rota post-probation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
- Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
- Spec and order replacement parts; manage site contractors.
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota (after probation).
- Support small projects and process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills; competent in process control engineering.
- City & Guilds qualified or time-served multi-skilled engineer.
- Competent working with voltages up to 415V.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and good communication skills.
- Proven multi-skilling experience; able to work independently or in a team.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of PLCs.
- Fabrication and welding experience.
