As a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of site machinery and services. Working as part of a 24/7 engineering team, you will support maintenance, maximise equipment uptime, and contribute to continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned maintenance, plant modifications, and small engineering projects
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
- Maximise machine availability and operational efficiency
- Always maintain high health & safety standards
- Support continuous improvement and TPM initiatives
- Mechanical and electrical engineering skills (multi-skilled)
- Experience working with PLCs and process control systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive, flexible, and hands-on approach
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (ideally food production)
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience with TPM practices
- Background in fast-paced production environments
