We are recruiting for a Contract Maintenance Engineer to support a leading manufacturing business within a fast-paced, automated production environment. This is a hands-on contract role focused on keeping machinery running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance, electrical fault finding, and breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance across production machinery
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on automated equipment
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Support continuous improvement activities across site
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Electrical bias with strong fault-finding ability
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on maintenance experience with automated production machinery
  • A proactive approach to reducing downtime and improving equipment performance

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working on automated manufacturing lines
  • Strong breakdown response and fault diagnosis skills
  • Previous contract maintenance experience
  • Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
