A leading food manufacturing business is looking to recruit an electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent day shift basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Fault find on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Work on high-speed production, packaging and processing equipment.
- Ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
- Complete maintenance documentation and update CMMS records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications and upgrades.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, quality and health & safety compliance.
Requirements
- Time-served Engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
- Electrically biased with strong multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years' food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working within a fast-paced FMCG or food production environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills on PLC-controlled machinery.
- Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Northampton.
