Are you a Lead Engineer, Engineering Team Leader or an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer ready to step up? We are recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to support a small, experienced team of 3 Multi-Skilled Engineers within a large, highly automated FMCG manufacturing site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll still be on the tools while leading, coaching and driving performance across the shift.
The role:
- Lead and support a team of 3 shift-based Multi-Skilled Engineers
- Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
- Take ownership of complex breakdowns and fault finding
- Reduce downtime and improve plant reliability and performance
- Ensure effective handovers between shifts
- Lead short interval control meetings with production
- Coach operators and engineers on autonomous maintenance
- Use SAP PM to manage maintenance activity and reporting
The environment:
- High-speed production and packaging lines
- Automated FMCG manufacturing site
- Mixers, ovens, conveyors and associated plant equipment
What we're looking for:
- Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent)
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments
- Previous leadership, senior engineer or step-up experience
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working rotating days and nights
