We are looking for a practical, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, supportive engineering team near Ipswich. If you enjoy varied mechanical work, don’t mind a dusty/industrial environment and like a mix of workshop and site-based tasks, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Mechanical maintenance and repairs across a range of plant and equipment
  • Working on mixers, hoppers, cranes, trucks and general machinery
  • Supporting agricultural systems (feeders, drinkers, heaters, site kit)
  • Diagnosing faults and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently
  • Travelling to local sites for breakdowns and installations
  • Joining an every-other-weekend call-out rota (with additional payments)

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 Mechanical qualification or strong equivalent experience
  • Confident working on plant, vehicles, and general mechanical systems
  • Comfortable in a dusty, dirty, heavy industrial/agricultural environment
  • Background from industrial, forces, heavy plant, automotive or agriculture
  • Basic electrical knowledge is useful but not essential

Pay & Benefits:

  • £42,000 basic salary (weekly pay)
  • Overtime available: Midweek over 8 hours & Saturdays: x1.5 After 48 hours: x1.33
  • Every other weekend call-out: £100 standby + paid call-out hours
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme (up to 15% combined contributions)
