For Companies We are recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with fabrication experience to join a busy manufacturing site. This role would suit a practical, hands-on engineer looking to develop their experience within a production environment. The Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machinery.
- Fabricate and repair parts using workshop equipment, including welding.
- Support reactive breakdown repairs and general fault finding.
- Work from engineering drawings, manuals and manufacturer instructions.
- Use measuring and testing equipment to identify mechanical faults.
- Complete daily maintenance records and required paperwork.
- Keep the workshop organised and maintain safe working standards.
- Monitor spare parts and report stock requirements.
- Communicate with production teams to support smooth operations.
- Follow health & safety, quality and food safety procedures.
About You:
- Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance, workshop or engineering role.
- Fabrication and welding experience is required.
- Comfortable carrying out general mechanical repairs and fault finding.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Reliable, organised and keen to develop within a manufacturing setting.
- Committed to maintaining safe working practices.
