A leading FMCG food manufacturer is recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern, high-care production facility in Suffolk. This is a hands-on senior engineering role, suited to an experienced multi-skilled engineer who enjoys fault-finding, improving asset reliability, and supporting site-wide engineering standards within a regulated food manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Planned preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance across site assets
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding, including PLC-controlled systems
- Supporting equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
- Use of CMMS systems to manage PPM, breakdowns, and maintenance records
- Supporting food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance (BRC environment)
- Liaising with contractors and supporting engineering projects
What We Were Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
- Proven experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, pneumatics, and heavy machinery
- Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and CMMS
- Comfortable working in a high-care, regulated environment
- 18th Edition, food safety, IOSHH, or similar qualifications are advantageous but not essential
