We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting the smooth running of site operations. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical machinery, using your fault-finding skills to keep equipment operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across production and packing equipment
- Support equipment reliability and reduce machinery downtime
- Complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
- Work collaboratively as part of a shift engineering team
- Identify opportunities for improvements and support ongoing site performance
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance
- A background within an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with production machinery
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
