Your Impact
As a Multiskilled Engineer at our Rainham facility, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our production equipment runs smoothly and safely. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to keep our operations efficient and compliant.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and train operators where needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation for equipment and compliance.
- Work closely with hygiene and production teams to uphold food safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- 18th Edition certification and apprenticeship‑trained or commercial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial food manufacturing machinery PLC systems and electrical fault finding.
- Experience with three-phase systems, AC/DC drives and automation equipment.
- Proactive approach to maintenance and safety compliance.
Specific Skills
- Electrical maintenance: AC/DC drives, motors, pumps and low‑voltage systems.
- PLC programming and fault diagnosis.
- Familiarity with ovens, heat sealers, check weighers and other industrial kitchen equipment.
- PAT testing and compliance with electrical safety standards.
