Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Join a fast-paced, automated food manufacturing site as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, ensuring equipment reliability and production efficiency. You will tackle faults, carry out planned maintenance, and drive improvements across processing, packaging, and site services.
- Diagnose and repair faults quickly to minimise downtime.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance using SAP PM.
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with H&S and Food Safety standards.
- Lead improvement projects to boost plant reliability, efficiency, and energy performance.
- Support the development of maintenance strategies and reliability-centred maintenance.
- Collaborate with production, hygiene, and safety teams to maintain performance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent).
- Experience in a fast-paced FMCG or automated environment.
- Knowledge of PUWER, IOSH, and Food Safety legislation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with PLC-controlled systems and continuous improvement methods.
- Knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
