Synergi are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes. This is a permanent night shift (Monday to Friday) role working within a busy production environment, with a strong focus on breakdown response, planned maintenance, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently. The site operates within food production and utilises equipment such as mixers, ovens and packaging machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain and repair machinery including mixers, ovens and packaging equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Complete maintenance documentation and follow site procedures.
- Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and engineering standards.
- Escalate recurring issues to the Team Leader or Engineering Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Multi skilled maintenance engineering background.
- Experience working within FMCG, food or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Strong fault-finding capability on production machinery.
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts.
- Able to work independently and within a small team.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Recognised engineering qualification preferred.
- Overseas qualifications will be considered with UK ENIC / NARIC equivalency.
- Relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
