Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to support the development of data-focused applications, automation and Back End solutions within a modern data environment. The role will focus on building reliable and scalable Python solutions, working with data pipelines, APIs and cloud-based services.
The Role
You will:
Design, develop and maintain Python applications, scripts and services.
Build reusable and scalable Python components to support data and automation requirements.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and Back End services.
Work with large datasets and build solutions for processing, transforming and validating data.
Support the development and integration of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested Python code.
Develop automated unit and integration tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, data and integration issues.
Work with SQL and relational databases to query, manipulate and validate data.
Use Git and CI/CD practices to support development and deployment.
Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Product teams and other technical stakeholders.
Essential Experience
Strong commercial Python development experience.
Experience building production-level Python applications and services.
Strong SQL and data handling experience.
Experience with APIs and system integrations.
Experience working within modern data or cloud environments.
Good understanding of automated testing and software development practices.
Experience with Git and CI/CD.
Valid SC Clearance is mandatory.
