I am delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business seeking a Financial Controller to drive financial operational efficiency.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a small finance team, enhancing financial controls, improving management reporting, and providing strategic insight to support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring strong financial control
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures
- Enhance efficiency through Excel-based templates across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management
- Manage complex value streams in manufacturing, including production, long-term contracts, and pass-through sales
- Ensure accurate stock accounting and control processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, supporting training and recruitment
- Oversee multi-currency accounting within an international trading environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller with strong manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to implement financial controls and improve management reporting.
- Expertise in stock accounting and complex value streams.
- Proven leadership experience with a hands-on approach to team management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
This role is available as a 6-month interim contract, with a strong potential to become permanent. Alternatively, it may suit an experienced Professional Interim seeking a contract opportunity.
