An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join the senior leadership team in a key succession appointment. This is a pivotal leadership role, combining financial stewardship, commercial insight and operational influence within a dynamic environment impacted by market movements and external commercial factors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all finance functions, ensuring robust financial control, reporting and compliance
  • Oversee statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting
  • Provide proactive commercial support, helping to drive profitability, margin performance and informed decision making
  • Partner closely with operational teams to improve performance, efficiencies and reporting accuracy
  • Play a key role in business strategy, leadership and organisational development
  • Ensure strong risk management, governance and internal controls
  • Act as a key point of contact for shareholders, providing clear communication on business performance and strategic initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience operating at Finance Director / Senior Finance Leadership level or an experienced commercially minded Financial Controller seeking their first Finance Director appointment
  • A Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong technical finance expertise combined with a commercially minded and strategic approach
  • Experience working within a product-based, industrial, manufacturing, distribution or operationally focused environment would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence at board and operational level
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills
